Day of workers of the rocket and space industry of Ukraine

Today, April 12, Ukraine celebrates the workers of the rocket and space industry of Ukraine.
Our country, without exaggeration, has made a significant contribution to space exploration. And Ukrainian scientists, designers, and engineers have received global recognition thanks to their successful developments and achievements.
The outstanding Ukrainian designer and engineer Sergey Korolev had numerous achievements in the development of the space industry. As the general designer, Korolev headed the Vostok space program to launch manned spacecraft into low-Earth orbit.
And the first manned space flight on the Vostok-1 spacecraft in 1961 took place precisely thanks to Korolev, he directly assisted in its preparation and implementation.
Under his leadership, the first intercontinental ballistic missile was launched, the first artificial satellites were launched, and space rockets were developed and improved.
Ukrainian cosmonaut Leonid Kadenyuk first flew into space in 1997, becoming a member of the crew of the Columbia spacecraft, which carried out a NASA mission. Together with our cosmonaut, the Ukrainian flag and coat of arms traveled into space. And the anthem of Ukraine sounded for the first time.
We congratulate everyone who is associated with the rocket and space industry on their professional holiday!
Strength of inspiration in new space achievements!
