Marine Corps Day and Heroes of Ukraine Day!

Today we celebrate the professional holiday of the marines of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The motto of the Marines "Always Faithful" emphasizes the soldiers' loyalty to the Military Oath, dedicated service to the Ukrainian people, and professional performance of tasks in any conditions: at sea, on land, and from the air.

This holiday is associated with a historical event - on May 23, 1918, Hetman Pavlo Skoropadsky issued a decree on the formation of a marine brigade. The marine's beret insignia features the sword of Sahaidachny, who was one of the founders of the marines and fought against Muscovy.

We congratulate the Ukrainian marines, who from the first days of the war have been heroically defending our land from the Russian invaders.

May 23 marks another historic day - Heroes of Ukraine Day.

Heroes' Day was established by the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists in 1941 as a sign of honoring all fighters for the freedom of Ukraine.

On this day, we also honor the fallen marines. And all the Heroes of Ukraine who fought against the enemies and defended our Freedom and Independence.
